Project Details and Scope of Work
Allianz is the world’s No.1 insurance brand backed by global expertise and 135+ years of experience. Allianz Lanka was established as a greenfield operation in 2005, now completing over 20 years of experience in the Sri Lankan insurance market. Trust, resilience, and long-term value creation remain pillars of Allianz Group, offering a seamless insurance experience built on choice, convenience, and care.
Spanning 4,000 square feet, the corporate office interior design and fit-out were executed end-to-end by Westgate. The design reimagines the conventional insurance workspace, moving beyond rigidity into an experience defined by openness, contrast, and refined simplicity. The result is a contemporary workplace that reflects both global stature and local sensitivity, positioning Westgate among the top interior design firms delivering strategic, experience-led work environments.
The layout is structured around a clear circulation flow, allowing departments to function independently while remaining holistically connected. The building interior design introduces layered zoning, transitioning from public-facing areas to focused work environments through subtle shifts in scale, materiality, and lighting. A predominantly white space, accentuated by soft neutrals, the ‘Allianz Blue’, and metal accents, set the foundation for a professional atmosphere, and the strategically placed abstract art creates a slightly offbeat rhythm within the space.
A defining feature of the design is the deliberate use of contrast in interior design, where solidity meets transparency, minimalism meets texture, and precision meets warmth. Enhanced natural light penetration, textured wall treatments, and warm timber accents anchor the space with depth and comfort. A unique design element is the incorporation of large inspirational wordings against crisp white walls. The reception and meeting zones set the tone for the workplace, balancing corporate elegance with approachability, where brand cues are subtly embedded to reinforce identity without overwhelming the space.
