Colombo Cold Stores has been in operation for 153 years and is now a leading member company of John Keells Holdings Group, Sri Lanka’s largest conglomerate. CCS, a giant in beverage, carbonated soft drinks (CSD), and frozen confectionery market, is one of the oldest and most trusted food and beverage manufacturing companies in Sri Lanka. With Elephant House, the iconic beverage and ice-cream brand, CCS carries a legacy across generations. The entire range of Elephant House products, including ice creams, popsicles, and a diverse portfolio of drinks is an integral part of the daily lives of millions of people locally and around the world.

With a massive floor area of 11600 square feet, the CCS office design echoes the ethos of its legendary product portfolio. Feature walls with ice cream dripping from the ceiling to wall art with splashes of carbonated drinks; the space breathes life into the company’s core. The breakroom area has restaurant-like seating booths, a blue pool table, and an orange pantry that holds a plethora of awards. Some of these features are akin to the Google headquarters interior design.

The entrance lobby of the space is all white, minimal, and radiant. The half-marble, half-paneled counter is lit up and striking. Board rooms and enclosed offices exude minimal corporate interiors while the common areas have yellow barstools and orange upholstery. Plant interior design ideas have been used across the board, with foliage used extensively in common areas.
