MAS Asialine
Project Details and Scope of Work
MAS Active – Asialine is the first manufacturing facility in Sri Lanka to obtain the trio of Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), and Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certifications. Certified via Control Union by the global awarding bodies Textile Exchange and GOTS, Asialine leads by example for manufacturing operations across Sri Lanka. Asialine’s core remains in manufacturing sustainable products covering synthetics, cotton, and wool material.
An effort was made to celebrate the pioneering spirit of MAS Asialine as a unit through the office interior design, a space that spans 13900 square feet. The entrance lobby is an ode to zen minimalist interior design, with white, neutral nude, and grey tones used from floor to ceiling including the furniture. The ‘MAS red’ has been used across spaces through the logo itself and wall art, moving more towards red and grey interior design.
The ceiling-to-floor glass covers a significant amount of the office, allowing a peak into lush greenery and natural light outside. The workstations are primarily sleek wooden desks and ergonomically sound office chairs, while the ceiling makes a statement through artistic metal fixtures that exude an industrial aesthetic. The conference rooms have mirror detailing added to the white wall panels creating effortless art, while the break room is full of vibrant and colourful seating. This entire space offers a glimpse into the various types of finishes in interior design.
