Project Details and Scope of Work
Sumathi Holdings established with a vision to drive economic growth and foster societal development, has today evolved into a diversified conglomerate with a strong presence in Sri Lanka. The Sumathi Holdings office is the group’s corporate office spanning 4000 square feet. The entrance lobby has been designed to pay homage to the brand’s legacy, using a black mixed granite counter against the wooden floor-to-ceiling frame. The entire space is primarily based on the globally popular concept of blue and white interior design, with the addition of grey. Selected cushion upholstery and meeting pods being in blue add brightness against the grey walls and wooden tables.
The breakroom area has a setup similar to restaurant booths, while green foliage is at every corner. A statement seating island anchors one area. Its shape gives employees space and privacy for work while offering comfort and a change of pace from the desks. Light fixtures are minimal and black, uniformly hanging throughout the corporate office. This adds another layer to the interior design, without overpowering the minimal aesthetic of the space.
