Daraz

Daraz is a leading online retail marketplace with active operations in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Nepal. The collaboration with Daraz was an opportunity to exemplify Westgate’s decades of expertise in interior design in Sri Lanka. Daraz Sri Lanka Headquarters, based in Colombo 8, is a 60,000-square-foot space. The Daraz online shop, Daraz App, and Daraz Seller Center are all moving parts of this top e-commerce site. Daraz has over 2.5 million products and is rapidly expanding. The platform offers a range of products in areas such as consumer electronics, household goods, beauty, fashion, sports equipment, and consumables.

The Design ethos for this project centers on youth, brightness, and an attitude of enthusiasm that aligns with millennials. Modern, ergonomically designed furniture is multifunctional and reflects the interests of Daraz’s young workforce; natural plants within the space foster a healthy and energizing workplace. All structural elements and furniture, meticulously crafted in-house, offered Daraz the flexibility for custom specifications and creative liberty.

Daraz’s boldness in creativity shows across its campaigns. A prime example is the Daraz 11 11 sale. Westgate embedded this essence into the spaces created. The colour scheme exudes energy, pulling influence from the vibrant hues that appeal to the employee demographic. Bold colours dominate areas, resulting in a playful environment with finishing on par with top-tier global corporate interior solutions. The client-centric lounge space features a café, while employee office areas focus on space variation driven for efficiency. The open meeting spaces, hot desks, and unique space dividers are purposeful and creatively inducive for a dynamic team such as Daraz, fostering an easy plug-and-play culture.
